In 2009, at the age of 21, Carey Murdock founded NoStar Recordings and released his first full length album, a self-titled rock ‘n roll trio album, under the moniker NoStar. A year later, Murdock released Baby Don’t Look Down as the first album under his own name. The album featured Cary Ann Hearst of Shovels & Rope on the duet “Young Love”, and Murdock’s “love note to his hometown”, the song “Augusta”.
Carey Murdock moved to Nashville in 2011. He began touring the US and Europe regularly and playing, on average, 200 shows a year in 10 countries. Since then, he has toured with and supported many well-known artists such as Shovels & Rope, Grace Potter, Need to Breathe, Florida Georgia Line, Shawn Mullins, Parmalee, and more.
